Year 2020 and Global Crisis

Year 2020 is a year of global crisis, an uncertain year, a year never forgettable, a year which snatched the lives, happiness, and freedom of most of the people around the world. The Covid-19 caused more than 1.5 million people’s death around the globe. World has changed a lot this year, especially for those who have lost their loved ones because of the pandemic crisis. This crisis is still going on. As year 2020 ends in the days ahead, still an unprecedented and challenging time for all of us, but also a time of incredible resilience as people pull together. People are mentally prepared and ready to face unexpected situations and cumulative their immunity system to keep themselves healthy.

Governments of all countries around the globe are working more rigorously competitively for keeping people safe, healthy, and peaceful at this crucial time. It is the time to be thankful to Scientist, Doctors, Nurses, and other medical, healthcare, and pharmaceutical related staff. England is the first country has started distributing vaccine. Vaccines of this global pandemic (COVID-19) are coming soon in the market for other countries. May Allah (God) keep us safe and healthy. انشاء اللہ.

Sense of positivity is still there in the year of 2020, a 103-year-old woman won her battle against Coronavirus. This year made people realize the importance of families. Instead of Golf, Baseball, Cricket and Hockey, People found enjoyment in playing Ludo King, Puzzles and Chess with their family members. Instead of attending parties in the restaurants, People found attending parties over zoom and teams to be exciting too. For some people it is the time for sharpening the skills and enhancing their knowledge. Most of the people taking rest and spend time with their families.

Here are some more remarkable bad incidents. The year 2020 is shaking the walls of Royal Place in England when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decide to step back as Royals and live the life of a common people. People all over the world were not over with the celebrations of new year when they heard the ear blasting news of Ukrainian Plane Crash costing the lives of 176 people. The fires in Australia burnt millions of acres of land resulting in loss of 3,000 homes, making species extinct and continuous smoke from fire crossed borders. The Covid-19 then shifted to year 2020 having major impact around all the borders. The ears which were bearing the weight of earrings, spectacles and headphones now suppose to manage masks too. Welcoming People turned to avoid people from 6 feet. The on-campus classes now went to virtual. The tables in Cafes, Hotels and Restaurants are now covered with tapes saying “Sorry, Dine-in is closed”. The birthday parties, marriages and anniversaries are now to be joined by no more than ten people just giving disheartening to people. Individuals found time to sharpen their skills like cooking, gardening, sewing and other creativity. The Scientists are struggling to find the Vaccine and somehow, it is questioning their abilities. In some of the regions, people do not even get to see the face of their loved ones for the last time. Then comes another thing: Racism began among Chinese people in America blaming them for Coronavirus, renaming it to “The Chinese Virus”. On Jan 26, the news of the death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant left every basketball lover in shock and grief. At the end of January, the United Kingdom withdrew from European Union. On March 10, Italy became the first country to announce the lockdown closing the borders. The next day, WHO declares Covid-19 disease as Pandemic. Then came the bad news for all sports lovers, the Summer Olympics were delayed till 2021. On 15th of March, Nigeria faced an explosion of gas which cost 15 lives. Then came a point when people started losing trust in Police Officers after news crashed about George Floyd’s killing caused by Police. The world was full of enthusiasm and relief when the rumor about the death of Kim Jong Un spread. The famous actor Chadwick Boseman ends his life Journey after continuous fight of 4 years against Cancer. The Second woman ever appointed at the high court died on Sept 18. On Oct 2nd, the President who initiated racism on behalf of Coronavirus got infected from the same virus. Another Celebrity died of Cancer on Oct 6 named Eddie Van Halen. On Halloween day, the streets of Quebec were filled with fear when a man dressed in a Halloween costume with Japanese sword stabbed two people to death. On November 11, Joe Biden was announced as Next President of States leaving Trump and his lovers in grief.

Some real fact of year 2020:

The Remembrance Day.

The Remembrance Day – the day to remember the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during war is celebrated around the world on 11th November. It all started in 1919, when King George V asked people to remember the loved ones, we lost during the First World War while fighting. In England, it is celebrated with huge enthusiasm. Usually, the members of the Royal Family and politicians of England gather at Whitehall situated in London for the memorial service. All the individuals hold the silence for two minutes to remember the soldiers who lost lives for their peace. Apart from this, people wear a red colored poppy to give them a tribute and out of respect. The poppy was introduced by a charity which was formed by Veterans of World War one. Some people think the poppy is just a symbol of death and war due to its red color. Also, some people do not prefer to wear the poppy as they think it is something related to politics. In Canada, it is also known as Armistice Day. Also, two weeks ahead of 11th November, the buses in Canada display the slogan “Lest We Forget” for Reminders to remember the soldiers.

Celebrating Remembrance Day is important as the Army is the backbone and a sole protector of each country. Since the past, there have been a lot of instances when armed forces lost their lives just to protect the country’s people. It is their dedication, passion and love for the country due to which we are safely roaming and spending our lives on our own terms. During their duty, they are always on the edge to die. Some soldiers protect our country by staying in regions where they do not have enough oxygen to breathe, food to eat and quite cold temperature. They are doing a lot to let us breathe and we can not thank them enough for that but still we can at least have a day to remember them.

This year due to coronavirus, the excitement is not observed on the faces of people and celebrations are hugely affected. Due to the restrictions from the authorities from every country, people can not get together for holding two-minute silence. Most importantly, the poppy this year will be digital too. Although the times are hard, still for the sake of our country’s army and their sacrifices, we can hold a two-minute silence at our respective homes. We Salute to the army as they protect us by living far away from their family and in the area where danger always lurks. Would you like to donate for them, please provide your donation here. Thanks.

Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW (PBUH)

All Muslims everywhere in the world are celebrating Eid Miladun Nabi today, on the 12th of Rabi ul Awal with religious zeal.

Mubarak to all Muslims for the celebration of birthday of holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAW (PBUH). Muhammad is the prophet and founder of Islam, Great leader, Philosopher, Prophet (c. 570–632)

I am very thankful to the government of Pakistan has announced to celebrate this occasion as an official event also encouraging to the Pakistani PM for his two new important official announcements during his speech in Eid Miladun Nabi conference.

The day dawned with gun salutes and with the offering of special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah, progress and prosperity of the country. Private and government buildings, mosques and shrines, houses, all city and country have already been illuminated to commemorate the Day. Hundreds of Mehafil-e-Milad and ceremonies are being organised by different religious, social, academic organisations besides, holding processions, rallies in all cities, towns and villages of the country. Religious scholars delivered speeches in mosques and at different venues to highlighted different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). founder of Islam.

We all Muslims are followers of our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAW. We respect our all prophets and our religion. Actually, we respect all religions, that’s why we don’t expect any bad word or any kind of unsuitable activities against our prophets and religion. As i am residing in Canada Toronto. Here we have all kinds of different religions and believe. We usually discuss different topics about religion. Try to understand the differences, thoughts and clarification among religions. We feel satisfaction when we explain our religion Islam to non-Muslims and answer their questions. We still work together respectfully.

To be religious is the best thing, but this is not enough; we need to have more humanity and higher respect and value of human. We need to make significant changes in our lives. We should have more tolerance, brotherhood, respect, high values of life, positive attitude, unity and peace among all, especially in Millat-e-Islamia and among Muslim Ummah.

The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAW’s the unrivaled benefactor of humanity, messenger of Almighty Allah and the flag bearer of the great religion of Islam, We all Muslims must follow his great, exemplary and extraordinary life everyday as much as possible.

Happy Independence Day of Pakistan

Happy Independence Day of Pakistan

Jashne e Azadi Mubarak to all Pakistanis (1947-2018)

We Pakistanis are celebrating the 71st Independence Day of Pakistan in Pakistan and everywhere in the World. Celebrating with the message of freedom and peace to the World.

I remember my last year 14 August Independence Day post on Facebook. I was so desperately praying for the betterment of Pakistan’s internal and external situation. Now in one year, I can see changes and hope in the future Allah bless Pakistan more with integrity, stability, prosperity, and peace. I want to see corruption-free, tension-free, respectful, peaceful Pakistan on World Stage. (Umeed Salamti Eeman, Humara Pakistan).

On this occasion, I also pay honor to people who devoted their lives to Pakistan’s freedom movement and made sacrifices to attain Pakistan’s independence.

Now, the new government is taking the oath, I congratulate Mr. IMRAN KHAN to become the new Prime Minister of Pakistan. He worked hard for getting this position. He is a real patriotic Pakistani. Nowadays, Pakistan is facing many challenges and problems. IMRAN’s government has to solve all problems conscientiously. I believe IMRAN has the ability to overcome all problems of Pakistan and fulfill his responsibilities as Prime Minister; He has to choose trustworthy, intelligent, educated, experienced, and right people for the right ministry. He needs to select a very competent team in government, in advisory groups, or in the secretariat level.

We have a lot of hopes for this new Pakistan or a new chapter of Pakistan. In spite of all the trials & tribulations, I am confident that one day my mother country will emerge with flying colors!

I Love my homeland, LONG LIVE PAKISTAN, PAKISTAN ZINDABAD

May Allah Bless Our Pakistan always!

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!

from  Alia  H Nawaz

Very busy days of first half of year 2018, could not get any free time to post on any occasion. Now ready to take on the second half of this year.

Canada Day Greetings

Dr. Alia Nawaz, my Story, my vision, my mission

December 31, 2017, today is the 17th anniversary of my journey from Pakistan to Canada, (from Eastern country to Western Country). I moved to Canada with my family on December 31st 1999. We arrived at 8:00 PM in Canada; I was so tired and exhausted because of very long hour’s flight, so went to sleep early and woke up by feeling sunlight on my face directly. It was the first day of January 2000 and my very first day in Canada. So, I started my new life in Canada from millennium year.

I was qualified for Canadian immigration on the basis of my education, job experience, scientific skills and expertise, and on running business.  After few years I received Canadian citizenship as per Canadian rules. I have visited so many countries before I came to Canada; my education is from Eastern, Western and European countries, which was helpful for settling in Canada, but I had to evaluate my previous educational degrees from Canadian University, also received more educational degrees, diploma and certificates from Canadians institutions.

Canada is very peaceful, beautiful, demanding and challenging country. Canadians are smart, well-mannered, courteous, graceful and helpful people. As a new comer in Canada I had to work hard and diligently to prove ourselves that Pakistani people are able to live in any part of the world and can make space for ourselves in a respectful manner and style. So I did it. In Canada, I have worked a lot in various categories: such as in education, in health care, in business, some work in leadership and politics, and completed a lot of constructive projects successfully.

I am admiring Canadian people so much; it doesn’t mean that other country’s people are not good. They are always very nice with me except few. I should mention that Pakistani people have uncountable qualities. I have been living in Canada since 18 years, also spent a lot of time in various Eastern and Western countries. Despite of our culture, life style and religious differences we are friend of each other, we respect and help each other. My real focus is on country policies, regulatory system, economy, business, education and health care. We can contribute to build better country!

Wishing you and your family a Safe and Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year filled with joy and prosperity! You have much joy, advancement and success in the year to come. Happy New Year 2018!

My best wishes for the all years ahead, May we join together in this time of returning light to envision peace on earth and a more enlightened future for humanity!

May there be peace on Earth. Every one of us needs to contribute something for this great purpose, especially world leaders.

So what is a new promise and intention for year 2018!  Work Hard and Work Smart to make our city, our country and our World a better place.

Alia Nawaz

My working projects

On December 25th 2017, Celebrate!

At this joyful time of year when everybody is celebrating something such as Christians community is celebrating Christmas, Jewish community is celebrating Hanukkah, Pakistani  are celebrating founder of Pakistan, the great leader  Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Birthday.

Whatever you are celebrating (Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year, Birthdays, Holidays,) at this time of year, I sincerely wish you a wonderful time!

My best wishes for all of you. You have nice and the best holiday season and much joy, advancement and success in the year to come.

Merry Christmas,     Happy Hanukkah,      Wonderful Holiday Season,     Happy New Year 2018!,    Happy Birthday!  (Some world leaders and most of my family members, relatives, friends are celebrating birthdays. They were born in December. including myself! Greetings!

Some serious points to share:

We are very fortunate people that have a celebration time; in celebration activities we must remember our responsibilities, do whatever you can to help others. Solve problems for betterment of life.

All World leaders (specially All Muslims’ Countries leaders) should be united for solving several global Muslims problems such as Palestine, Kashmir, Rohingya, and many more…

On December 25th Pakistani are celebrating founder of Pakistan, the great leader  Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Birthday.

At this occasion Pakistani should remember, Message and Vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,    Unity,    Faith,      Discipline

We must own these three key words and act on it, we will be a better Nation.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah Said:

No nation is perfect; it needs to be made perfect”

My salute to Pakistan Army, They are Brave, remarkable, extraordinary and unforgettable Citizen. They are sacrificing their lives to safe Pakistan. May Allah Bless them always!

Dr. Alia Nawaz      Greetings     Best Saying

Wishing a Happy Mawlid al –Nabi to all Muslims

Today is 12 Rabi ul Awal,   All Muslims are celebrating the Prophet’s Muhammad (PBUH) Birthday, and his miraculous Life.

May the blessing of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) be with us in our heart and home always!

May his enlightened message, guide us on the path of peace, kindness & humanity!

All Muslims must follow Prophet’s Muhammad (PBUH), his exceptional and superlative life and his message of compassion towards all fellow beings.

Remember me in your Prayers….

Muslims status in the World:

There is a lot going on in the World against Muslims. Nowadays unfortunately, Muslims are facing false propaganda about Islam and lot more… What should Muslims do under this situation? What we will do if Muslims are fighting and killing Muslims? First of all, all Muslims should be united; our complaints are not valid if Muslims are not united.

Muslims should not be divided in different religious groups. All Muslims believe in Allah and his holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and follow Qur’an.

Prophet’s Muhammad (PBUH) and his life is an example for all Muslims. Follow his life, follow his messages; Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last messenger of Allah. This is very true.

There are some more points to discuss about Muslims status in the World, but not at this very religious and happy occasion.

Some photographs of Prophet’s Muhammad (PBUH) old house in Mecca, using it as a library now.

For the help of Rohingya’s Muslims

All Muslim Countries Alliance for the help of Rohingya’s Muslims

It is not too late for creating all Muslims Countries Alliance for this great cause.

Since now, we all know that what is going on with Rohingya’s Muslims. In recent months, thousands and thousands of Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh amid a military crackdown on insurgents in Myanmar’s western Rakhine state. There are lot of horrifying stories of rapes, killings and house burnings are coming through media. Rohingya’s are suffering “mass atrocities” perpetrated by security forces in the northern part of Rakhine state.

I am not talking this matter on the basis of religion. Situation of Rohingya’s Muslims need to be considered on Humanitarian basis. They are all human being; they are all rejected by the country they call home and unwanted by its neighbours. Bangladesh is not accepting them. Thousands of people have already been departed. Remaining Rohingya’s Muslims are impoverished, in a very bad condition, no home, no shelter, no food, no clothing, virtually they are stateless.

Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel peace laureate and political leader, her failure to defend the Rohingya is extremely disappointing. There are many investigations has been done, but all hopeless.

All world’s leaders and Humanitarian activist organizations are helping to some extent, but this support is not enough. We really need to do more for Rohingya’s Muslims. I am in Canada, and know Canadian government has donated by 12.1 Million dollars (read more); many organizations are working very well privately.  I know about the help of Turkish govt. also few more Muslims countries, but I don’t know about Pakistani government, what’s the planning about Rohingya’s Muslims help.

This is very tough and uncomfortable time for Rohingya’s Muslims. At least all Muslims Countries need to be united on one platform for help and solve Rohingya’s Muslims problems. I hope my voice will be heard and will achieve positive response from all Muslims world leaders that they will be together and will take action and make serious decisions for this purpose. I also hope Pakistan will lead all countries. Ameen.

Message from Dr. Alia Nawaz

I stopped posting anything on my website because of a controversial quote that was posted last month. It was discussed and criticized a lot in public, even on government level. I have received several emails, so I need to explain my point of views about this quote.

Quote: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” —John Quincy Adams

This is very wise saying and it is from famous world leader.

My interpretations of this quote:

If I take it personally, for me to do more is a very optimistic sign, more expectation based on my capability. I do not feel any insult for doing more. There is no ego for doing more, I should be grateful to God that I possess power and ability to do more, that is why people are asking me for the same because they know that I can do more. (We must have right direction to do more for completing our plans and missions, otherwise we will not achieve positive results.

If you are doing more, you are doing for your Yourself, for better Life, for the best  Leadership, for your Family, for betterment of your Kids’ future, for better Business, for better City, for better Nation, for better Country and for better World. This quote realizes your capability that how you can become more, how you can take people with you, how your leadership qualities make you popular that everyone follows you, you can make crowd around you. How you can change or make this world a better place for everyone.  Alia

I think this is more than enough to write about it.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Do It once and Do It Right, this wording was criticized a lot.

It is the best way to complete work in this manner: ‘Do It once and Do It Right’

But it is not possible everywhere, It does not fit in all situations.

  • This wording does not work for those people who have creative they always find new ways that their innovation will be the best from every aspect. They spend time on it do it several times.
  • Even normal people know and believe that better is always possible. Chances of improvement are always there.
  • Researchers and scientist always try to demonstrate and validate their research’s results in various methods. They do it so many times to make research authenticated and confirmed.
  • For those people who are doing anything very first time, they make mistakes and correct all mistakes. To make corrections is not a bad idea in learning new language or technique or something else. So, do it once and do it right, also not applicable here.

This is my message for those who try to discourage and criticize innocent people without any purpose.  Please do not do it again.  You know that whom I am talking to….  Thanks, Alia

Congratulation Pakistan, The Pakistani Cricket Team and all Players

Congratulation!

Congratulation Pakistan, The Pakistani Cricket Team and all Players

Today, Sep 15, 2017, Pakistan defeated the visiting World XI by 33 runs in a gripping contest for the Independence Cup at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Friday. This is not really a matter who won the series. What is the matter most is the revival of international cricket in Pakistan, since 2009. The successful completion of the tournament is a real milestone, a big step and success for peace.

We hope Pakistan will host more games in near future and will have a peaceful environment for all kind of activities including games.

Thanks, both Cricket Team members for making everyone happy. Now doors are open for all International players to come to Pakistan for all kind of games. Now Pakistan is a peaceful country.

My tribute to Dr. Ruth Pfau, a true humanitarian

My tribute to Dr. Ruth Pfau, a true humanitarian was buried today on 19 August 2017.

She is no more with us, but we will remember her always “Pakistan’s Mother Teresa

“Her selfless and unmatched service to humanity will be remembered and she will remain in our hearts as Shining Star.”

According to her, “Not all of us can prevent a war; but most of us can help ease sufferings—of the body and the soul”  — Ruth Dr. Pfau

Dr. Ruth Pfau, was a German-born Pakistani physician and nun of the Society of Daughters of the Heart of Mary. She moved from Germany to Pakistan and devoted nearly 55 years of her life to fighting Leprosy which resulted in deceleration of Pakistan by WHO to have controlled Leprosy.

Known as “Pakistan’s Mother Teresa“, Dr. Pfau contributed in founding 150 leprosy clinics across Pakistan. She travelled to various parts of Pakistan and across the border to Afghanistan to rescue patients who were abandoned by their families or locked in small rooms for a lifetime.

Life of Dr. Ruth Pfau:

She dedicated her life to the people of Pakistan and their battle against leprosy outbreaks. While in Karachi, by chance she visited the Lepers’ Colony behind McLeod Road.

Here she decided that the care of patients would be her life’s calling. She started with medical treatment for the leprosy patients in a hut in this slum.

Dr. Ruth, founded The Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre, which later branched out into tuberculosis and blindness prevention programmes) and social work for the leprosy patients and their family members.

In 1979, she was appointed as the Federal Advisor on Leprosy to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Government of Pakistan.  Dr. Pfau went to distant areas of Pakistan where there were no medical facilities for leprosy patients. She collected donations from Germany and Pakistan. In recognition of her service to the country, she was awarded Pakistani citizenship in 1988.

Due to her continued efforts, in 1996, the World Health Organisation declared Pakistan one of the first countries in Asia to have controlled leprosy.

On 9 September 1999, Archbishop Simeon Anthony Pereira of Karachi celebrated a Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral to celebrate Sr. Dr. Pfau’s 70th birthday, which was attended by Christians together with Muslims.

Death and Funeral of Dr. Ruth Pfau:

Dr. Ruth Dr. Pfau died on 10 August 2017, at the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi. She had been suffering with several health problems due to her advancing age, including kidney and heart diseases.

On 19 August 2017, a state funeral for Dr. Pfau was held at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, in front of which the flags of Pakistan and Vatican City were raised at half mast. Dr. Ruth was buried in a Christian cemetery in Karachi.

Dr. Ruth Pfau was reportedly the first Christian to have a state funeral in Pakistan.

 Awards and recognition:

Ruth Dr. Pfau is recognised in Pakistan and abroad as a distinguished human being and had been awarded many awards and medals:
  • 1969: Order of Merit (Germany)
  • 1969:  Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam

Earth Day today!

Celebrating Earth Day !

Every year on April 22nd, people all around the world come together to celebrate Earth Day. This special day serves as a reminder of the importance of our planet and the urgent need to protect and preserve it for future generations. Earth Day is not just a day for planting trees and picking up litter; it is a global call to action to address the environmental challenges facing our world.

The History of Earth Day:

Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, making 2020 its 50th anniversary. It was established as a response to growing environmental concerns in the United States, including pollution, wildlife extinction, and the widespread use of harmful pesticides. The first Earth Day was a massive success, with 20 million people participating in rallies, protests, and educational events.

Today, Earth Day is observed in nearly 200 countries and has evolved into a global event that focuses on various environmental issues, such as climate change, deforestation, plastic pollution, and the loss of biodiversity.

The Urgency of Climate Change:

One of the most pressing issues addressed on Earth Day is climate change. The Earth’s climate is rapidly changing due to human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. This has led to an increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, resulting in rising global temperatures, extreme weather events, and the melting of polar ice caps.

To combat climate change, individuals, communities, and governments must take immediate action. This includes transitioning to renewable energy sources, reducing carbon emissions, and adopting sustainable practices in agriculture, transportation, and industry. Earth Day serves as a catalyst for raising awareness about climate change and inspiring individuals to make environmentally conscious choices.

Protecting Biodiversity:

Another critical aspect of Earth Day is the preservation of biodiversity. The loss of species at an alarming rate threatens the delicate balance of ecosystems around the world. Habitat destruction, pollution, overfishing, and poaching are driving many species to extinction.

Efforts to protect biodiversity involve creating protected areas, conserving critical habitats, and implementing regulations to prevent the illegal wildlife trade. Earth Day reminds us of the importance of preserving the incredible diversity of life on Earth and the interconnectedness of all living organisms.

Individual Actions for a Sustainable Future:

Earth Day encourages individuals to take small steps that collectively make a big difference. These actions include reducing, reusing, and recycling, conserving water, planting trees, supporting clean energy initiatives, and reducing single-use plastics. Every effort counts when it comes to protecting our planet.

In Conclusion:

Earth Day is a powerful reminder that our planet’s health is in our hands. It’s a day to reflect on the environmental challenges we face and commit to acting, whether it’s participating in a local cleanup event, advocating for stronger environmental policies, or making sustainable choices in our daily lives, every action we take contributes to a healthier, more sustainable future for our planet. Earth Day is not just a single day; it’s a call to action that should inspire us year-round to protect and cherish the incredible gift of our planet Earth.
